Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data under: contract (providing the Service you signed up for), legitimate interests (security, service improvement), consent (optional features that ask for it), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records for purchases).
5. Sharing
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers that host our infrastructure and databases, strictly to run the Service;
- Google / Apple, to the extent required to verify sign-in and subscription status;
- Authorities, if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service;
- A successor entity, if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (we will notify you of any change in ownership).
We never share your mood data with advertisers or data brokers.
6. Data retention
- Account and wellness data: kept while your account is active. Deleted or irreversibly anonymized when your account is deleted (see Section 8).
- Purchase records: retained as required for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations.
- Server logs: retained for a limited period for security and debugging, then deleted or anonymized.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), authenticated APIs, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of any breach as required by law.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, object to the processing of, or delete your personal data. You can:

If you are in the EEA/UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact support@upminute.app and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Our servers may be located outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.

UpMinute is a general wellness tool. Mood data and sessions are not medical records, diagnoses, or treatment. See our Terms of Service for the full health disclaimer.
